Ilmington is situated in the North Cotswolds, eight miles south of Stratford upon Avon and twelve miles north of Stow on the Wold.

In days gone by it was famous for its apple orchards and was made up of neighbouring farms. Today it is a beautiful village with a mixture of farms, Cotswold homes, two pubs and a village shop converted from the old Catholic Church. Within easy reach of the RSC, Stratford upon Avon and all that that town has to offer it is also only a forty minute drive to Cheltenham Spa or Woodstock, home of Blenheim Palace.

Hidcote Manor and Kiftsgate Gardens are within 3 miles and other National Trust properties nearby include Snowshill and Chastleton House. If walks are wanted there is an abundance of footpaths leading from and into the village, an Ordnance Survey Map is a must, and the Cotswold Way is within easy reach for the serious walker.
